Unfolding the Rose

A young, new preacher was walking with an older,
more seasoned preacher inthe garden one day and
feeling a bit insecure about what God had for him
to do, he was inquiring of the older preacher. The
older preacher walked up to a rosebush and told
him to open it without tearing off any petals.

The young preacher looked in disbelief at the older
preacher and was trying to figure out what a
rosebud could possible have to do with his wanting
to know the WILL OF GOD for his life and for his
ministry. Because of his high respect for the older
preacher, he proceeded to TRY to unfold the rose,
while keeping every petal intact.... It wasn't long
before he realized how impossible it was todo so.
Noticing the younger preacher's inability to
unfold the rosebud while keeping it intact, the older
preacher began to recite the following poem:...

It is only a tiny rosebud,
A flower of God's design,
But I cannot unfold the petals
with these clumsy hands of mine.

The secret of unfolding flowers
Is not known to such as I.
GOD opens this flower so sweetly,
WHen In my hands they fade and die.

If I cannot unfold a rosebud,
This flower of God's design,
then how can I think I have wisdom
to unfold this life of mine?

So I'll trust in Him for His leading
Each moment of every day.
I will look to him for His guidance
Each step of the pilgrim way.

The Pathway that lies before me, Only my
Heavenly Father knows.
I'll trust Him to unfold the moments,
Just as He unfolds the rose

The young priest said
Now I Understand....

I HOPE THAT YOU DO TOO...

FRIENDS

All of us might have heard about the story of two friends and a bear. THey always used this story to teach moral lesson on true riendship. Below, I have two versions of stories to read... It is all about friendship.
1. The Bear & The Travelers - AesopTwo travelers were on the road together, when a bear suddenly appeared on the scene. Before he observed them, one made for a tree at the side of the road, and climbed up into the branches and hid there. The other was not so nimble as his companion; and, as he could not escape, he threw himself on the ground and pretended to be dead.. The bear came up and sniffed all around him, but he kept perfectly still and held his breath; for they say that a bear will not touch a dead body. The bear took him for a corpse, and went away.
When the coast was clear, the traveler in the tree came down, and asked the other what it was the bear had whispered to him when he put his mouth to his ear. The other replied," He told me never again travel with a friend who deserts you at the first sign of danger." Misfortune tests the sincerity of friendship.-- The Book of Virtues by Wm. J. Bennett...
Here the second version of the story...
2. Two friends were walking in the forest one day when suddenly they stumbled upon a large grizzly bear who decided that they looked like a good snack. The two started running away when all of the sudden one of them stopped. The other said, "What are you stopping for? Don’t you know the grizzly bear is right behind us?" His friend replied, "I am tying my shoe so I can run faster." At this he couldn’t help but laugh, "What you think you’ll outrun the grizzly?" The friend replied, "I don’t have to outrun the grizzly, I only have to outrun you."
In our selfish society, how often do we act like this "friend." As we try to exist in community, it is essential that we eliminate the self-centered nature that is all too prevalent in our churches today.... Learn lesson from Christ, how often he tried to teach and show to His disciples to not be self centered and selfish. The true friendship and love will complete and form in us when we stop our selfishness and self centered thinking. Be a good friend to your friends and always be there for them...
The True Friendship Will Never End.

Prayer :Reach My Friends

I was listening to Heritage songs. One of the song that, really touched my heart was REACH MY FRIEND.... I don't know how many of Christians out there praying for their friends, but one thing for sure I really love my friends, who is not Christians.... They are very good people, eventhough they didn't know the true God.... Lord reach them and make them know you that you are loving, and gracious.... Give them Hope to overcome their life's obstacles....... Make them feel copacetic in their relationship with you and human.... Amen
