Lately I have been busy in the field. I would like to share many stories how the work is going on here. Until then, take care and please do pray for me.

3rd Klang Valley Indian Youth Camp

By the Transforming grace of God, Another successful camp was held for young people from 20th - 22nd March, 2009, In Taman Alam, Kuala Selangor. Many young people REVIVED by this camp and they are on fire... They are ready to spread this FIRE to their friends who are still out there.

Youth Alive concept are introduced for the first time in Indian settings. It is a historic event for us. Many young people open themselves to their FG (Friendship Group) in sharing and listening. God's work during this camp was something remarkable. We strongly believe that, GOD IS CONTROL OVER EVERYTHING. It is impossible to live a life without God.

In this camp, four main areas to revive in our life were covered. These areas are:-
1. Revive Myself
2. Revive My Family
3. Revive My Friends
4. Revive My Soul

In all these four areas, there were four speakers who brought to us revival message. They are Pr. James, Pr. David Kumar, Brother Daniel Thacana Moorthy, and Brother Steven Joe. God used them mightily to make these youth to know GOD's will.

Other than that, many activities were done in FGs. It is where, they open themselves to their FG members, and shared their feelings. Facilitators of the groups played an important roles in making this camp a success. Those leaders are Jeffrey James, Thacana Moorthy, Sheryllane and Renitta E.

At the last day of the camp, during the last session, many young people return to God. They are revived and on fire for GOD. Before they depart from the camp site, they were happy for attending this camp. May GOD's Spirit be with these young people in making the faith on fire spread...

VBS 2009, First Season

On 15th - 17th March, 2009, Vacation Bible School was held in Puchong Indian Church. Many children came to this school break activity, and they really enjoy everything in Christ... There were coloring activities, glittering arts, bible stories, health messages, Clown show, Balloon Sculpturing, Singing and games...

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not try to stop them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these". (Matt 19:14) Let them have fun in the church and let the church be the place where they will find fun and love in Christ. Church is the place where this children grow, if we neglect them, that means we are corrupting their growth and this will impact and shape their future into something we don't want them to be. As a Christian, we should let this children feel that they are at home with Christ.

Jesus Loves the Little Children of the World...

"After a long time, I have found back this church!"

Dear friends in Christ,
On Saturday, February 21st, 2009, An Eighty Five years old man brought by Mrs. Sarah Nadarajoo to our Puchong Indian Church. Mr. Moses Sinnapen was baptized in our SDA church 30 years ago when the Sungai Way Indian Church was in Kampung Gandhi. He knows Pr. V N Joseph, and other pioneers of this church. When I talked to him, He said, "This is the True Church, after a long time of searching, I have found this church back". I was so happy to hear such a charasmatic and affirming clarification from him. He added, "I will come to this church daily and I love this church". All my members in Puchong got excited and admire Mr. Moses Sinnapen's enthusiasm and activeness even though he is really old. Praise The Lord for bringing Mr. Moses Sinnapen back to the church. Please pray for his health and his family.

Special Visitors On Sabbath!

On Sabbath Morning, Sungai Way Church Members were blessed by these visitors' visitation and wonderful inspiring sermon from Pr. R. John.
He was preaching on God's miraculous protection and guidance in our life.
After the sabbath worship, we had fellowship together. During that time we came to know more about each other. God Bless Them.. Let them continue in the work of inspiring and preparing more people unto His kingdom..

1. Spend time on God's presence

3. Study the Bible
i) Get it into your blood
ii) Know it well
4. Apply What you read and let God change your outlook.

Youth Alive Camp 2008- Photos

Free Health Screening - Desa Mentari

Sunway - Adventist Community Service of Seventh-day Adventist Corporation (Malaysia) Bhd. and its joint venture from the Persatuan Penduduk B5 Desa Mentari organized a Free Health Screening for the Desa Mentari’s community. It was held at the Desa Mentari B5 hall.

Guests of Honor whom attended this Free Health Screening was Member of Parliament of Kelana Jaya, YB Loh Gwo Burne and EXCO member of Selangor State Goverment, YB Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad. They had a chance to mingle around with the locals and get to know their needs. They even took part in the health checkups.

This event has attracted many people from Desa Mentari regardless of their ethnicity. People who registered for this free health checkups were more than 150 people. This event also brought the community into awareness of living a good healthy life.

This event became a success with the help of Adventist Community Services volunteers, few nurses from Klang Valley and also the Sunway Pathfinder Club of the Sungai Way Adventist Indian Church.

Commitment Isn't Enough

Researchers can now predict with more than 90 percent accuracy who will enjoy a successful relationship and who will suffer distress and divorce. To a large degree the findings in these studies do not line up with popular opinion of what makes marriage work or fail. I've generalized the discrepancies below.
Popular Opinion: Whom you marry determines your chances for a happy marriage.
Studies Show: Marital happiness has little to do with whom you marry and everything to do with how you cope with conflict.
Popular Opinion: Personality flaws and irritating faults are the under lying cause of marital distress.
Studies Show: Personality flaws and irritating faults do not predict marital happiness or marital stability.
Popular Opinion: Compatibility and similar likes and dislikes determine relationship success.
Studies Show: It's not how similar or different you are; it's how you handle differences when they arise that counts.
Popular Opinion: Problems experienced during early years will heal themselves and get better in time. Studies Show: Problems worsen over time, and it's much wiser to deal with them early, when they are easier to handle.
Popular Opinion: Men and women have different needs in marriage and have different approaches to intimacy.
Studies Show: The major differences between men and women in marriage lies in the way they handle conflict rather than in their approach to intimacy.
Popular Opinion: When a couple loves each other enough and are really committed, they can solve any problem.
Studies Show: Love is needed to begin a relationship, but it doesn't provide enough fuel over time to keep the relationship successful. Nor does commitment. Again, it's how couples manage conflict that makes the difference.
Highly effective marriages are the result of more than just compatibility and commitment. Effective communication and conflict management skills are vital. There will always be differences of opinion over likes, desires, and how to get things done. Setting up a home together provides fertile ground for disagreements over how to earn and spend money, keep house, raise children, and spend free time, as well as how to meet each other's needs.

This is one of the shortest psalm in Psalms. This psalms talks about peace and how good it will be when brothers are in united spirit and worship the Lord. “I AM the CARBOHYDRATE”

“I AM the CARBOHYDRATE”

Every morning when I go for breakfast, I will find noodles, bread or rice prepared for breakfast for us in the college cafeteria. I like to eat them and I need them to fill my stomach. But I prefer to have “roti chanai”. when I eat “roti canai” I feel I’m satisfied and full. I felt like my need is fulfilled.
Something to think about, each and everyone here tend to have our own favourite…. Hmmm …. Let me put it in this way. Every one of us likes to have certain type of meal which will fulfill our needs and also our taste. Sometimes, when we travel to places far away from home and our culture. We tend not to get the food that we used to eat when we were at home land. I’m now living in my campus and I tend not to get certain food that daily offer to me when I was back at home. I still eat the bread, noodles and rice. Rice is still my main food buy I cant live without eating “roti chanai”. It is because I grew up eating “roti chanai” almost every morning. Some of my friends back at home, they can’t live without eating “nasi lemak”. Some of my friends in this campus tend to eat noodles in every meal. It is because they want their need to be fulfilled. In their country, they tend to eat noodles every day, it explains because they are from noodle eating society. My other European friends, they tend to eat bread every morning and they even complaint about it. They complaint about the bread been offered in the cafeteria. They said that this bread is not exactly the kind of bread they eat in Europe. Even there are differences in bread.
In all these differences, there is one truth and also one reality. It is that we need carbohydrate. The main food that we eat, whether it might be “roti canai”, “nasi lemak”, noodles, or bread. In all these, the main nutrition that we need is carbohydrate. Carbohydrate is there in every main and daily food. Human body needs more of this nutrition called carbohydrate. It doesn’t matter in what form they are. The matter is we need to get the carbohydrate in the way we like and used to it.
All that I want to say is this, If Jesus lives now in our time, the term He would use will be “I AM the Carbohydrate, whoever comes to me will never hunger or thirst, and will receive the Living Carbohydrate.” Yes, my friends, WE NEED JESUS and it doesn’t matter in what form we take him into us. It doesn’t matter whether we eat rice or noodles at the end we are getting carbohydrate from this food. An Asian can’t live without rice, since it is his culture and also life style. European can’t leave or will not feel comfortable to not eat bread everyday. It depends on our culture and context. All we need to do is excavate Christ in us and our context. Let Christ be the Carbohydrate in “roti chanai” for Indians, in “Char Keow Teaw” for Chinese, “Nasi Lemak” for Malays and bread for Europeans.
Remember one think before leave this page. Christ is our Carbohydrate.

Love and Marriage Life is not “maintenance” BUT “Investment”.

On last Friday, we were discussingabout love. In that discussion welearned many things about Love fromfew experienced couples. I would liketo share one thing that really openedmy eyes.We often think that, when we are inLove and Marriage life, that means weneed to maintain the relationship.This is what we do. We often thinkthat, we would like to have therelationship as we are having ourinterest in our expensive things. When we buy something, we often think ofthe expenses for the maintenance andhow are we going to keep them. We evenapplied the same philosophy in ourrelationship. At the end we are onlymaintaining the relationship becausewe are married or in relationship.But there is another way of thinkingabout Love and Relationship. It isbetter than “maintenance” philosophy of Love and Marriage. It is called “Investment” philosophy ofLove. Why investing? What would we dowhen we invest certain amount of moneyin big businesses? Are we going tothink of the ways to maintain thebusiness or to get possible ways toget the best profit and revenue out ofthem?
Yes! Of course we would like tohave the best profit and revenue outof our investment in that business.Even in our relationship, we need toinvest love in relationship. We needto invest Love in relationship so thatwe will work hard for the best in ourLove and marriage life. When we investin our relationship, we would like tohave the best outcome and always willbe thinking to do the best for theloved one. If we are thinking tomaintain the relationship, we oftenwant to give enough attentions to keepthe relationship going like we wantour car to keep on moving until itgets rust. In the other hand, if weare thinking to invest in therelationship, we often want to givethe best out of the best attentions toprosper the relationship.Think about it! Whether you want tohave “maintenance” kind of Love andMarriage Life or “investment” kind ofLove and Marriage Life?

The Eleventh Commandment

During the first college break for this year, I and my other friends went the Theology Camp, which was held in Pattaya, Thailand. One early morning, some students and faculties and I went out to the sea shore to have short morning worship. After the worship, I was sitting there and sarcastically smiled to this girl and she threw a small stone toward me. That stone hit my forehead and as a reflexive action I threw words to her saying, “You see how much she loves me!” during that time her guardians were there too. They are faculties in my college. They heard what I said and both of them responded to me by telling me that, “these girls have eleventh commandment, do you know what that eleventh commandment is?” And they added, “It is…. thou shall not fall in love”. They were also telling me that these girls are not allowed to love any guys. (I hope they kept this commandment as they said {grin}).
This is only an illustration came from my life experience. The faculty who told me that these girls have an eleventh commandment is our Theology Professor. I wonder that day, How could a person who knows the primary essence of Ten Commandment could tell that there is eleventh commandment which says, “Thou shall not fall in love”.
The primary essence of Ten Commandment is Love. That’s what Jesus emphasized in Matthew 22:36 – 40:

“Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?”43 22:37 Jesus44 said to him, “‘Love45 the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’46 22:38 This is the first and greatest47 commandment. 22:39 The second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’48 22:40 All the law and the prophets depend49 on these two commandments.” NET Bible

We can say many things, but at the end without love there is no heaven and earth. Even God talks about love and He is called LOVE. It was funny to hear that this professor said eleventh commandment is not to fall in love, while, the whole Ten Commandments is talking about LOVE. All I want to say here is that there are many people are still ignorance in what they are saying and acting. They are saying something but not acting according to what they said. BUT God in other hand He did and still doing what He said and Promise to us. He said that He loved us even before the foundation of the world and because of that he gave his only begotten son (Jesus Christ) that none should perish but have eternal life. He still loving us and will be loving us forever.

I got this story from my friend... So I would like to share it with readers...

A minister passing through his church in the middle of the day,Decided to pause by the altar and see who had come to pray. Just then the back door opened,a man came down the aisle,The minister frowned as he saw the man hadn't shaved in a while.His shirt was kind a shabby and his coat was worn and frayed, the man knelt, he bowed his head,Then rose and walked away.

In the days that followed,each noon time came this chap,each time he knelt just for a moment, A lunch pail in his lap.Well, the minister's suspicions grew,with robbery a main fear,He decided to stop the man and ask him,"What are you doing here?"The old man said, he worked down the road. Lunch was half an hour.Lunchtime was his prayer time,For finding strength and power."I stay only moments, see, because the factory is so far away; as I kneel here talking to the Lord,This is kind a what I say:

"I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD, HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHER'S FRIENDSHIP AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN. DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY. SO, JESUS, THIS IS JIM CHECKING IN TODAY."

The minister feeling foolish, told Jim, that was fine.He told the man he was welcome to come and pray just anytime.
Time to go, Jim smiled, said "Thanks."He hurried to the door.The minister knelt at the altar, he'd never done it before.His cold heart melted, warmed with love, and met with Jesus there. As the tears flowed, in his heart, he repeated old Jim's prayer:

"I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD, HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHER'S FRIENDSHIP
AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN.n I DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY, BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY. SO, JESUS, THIS IS ME CHECKING IN TODAY."

Past noon one day, the minister noticed that old Jim hadn't come.n As more days passed without Jim, he began to worry some. At the factory, he asked about him, learning he was ill.The hospital staff was worried,But he'd given them a thrill.The week that Jim was with them, Brought changes in the ward.His smiles, a joy contagious. Changed people, were his reward.The head nurse couldn't understand why Jim was so glad,when no flowers, calls or cards came,Not a visitor he had. nThe minister stayed by his bed, He voiced the nurse\'s concern:No friends came to show they cared.He had nowhere to turn.Looking surprised, old Jim spoke up and with a winsome smile;"the nurse is wrong, she couldn't know, that in here all the while \neveryday at noon He's here, a dear frie! nd of mine, you see,He sits right down, takes my hand,Leans over and says to me:

"I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, JIM, HOW HAPPY I HAVE BEEN, SINCE WE FOUND THIS FRIENDSHIP, AND I TOOK AWAY YOUR SIN. ALWAYS LOVE TO HEAR YOU PRAY, I THINK ABOUT YOU EACH DAY, AND SO JIM, THIS IS JESUS CHECKING IN TODAY."

GOd's Presence is Always Available... You will never walk alone... for GOd is With You...
